This week in Project Run and Play, the theme is movie related.  This is our Horton Hears a Who inspired outfit.

The colours and shapes were inspired by this image of Horton in the sunset below.  I love the combination of colours and the lovely silvery dots in this fabric seem to me like they might just be a who or two on top of their floaty pink speck.Image Courtesy of

A Who or TwoWho Top

A Who or Two

Pattern:  Self Drafted

Fabric:  Nani Iro Linen from Shimgraphica.

Ease:  Easy

Tidbits: I also used this drafted pattern to make dresses for her cousins.  One has a zip at the back, one has buttons and this one has a hidden button placard at the front.   All of the bodices are lined, so I used lots of these tutorials to help me out with all these adjustments and closure options.

Oppsies:  I like this one inside and out!  The first make using this pattern was this deer dress which turned out a little wide in the bodice.  I have now adjusted this perfectly.

A Who or TwoSkirt

Pattern:  Self drafted

Fabric:  Upcycled Shirt

Ease:  Simple

Tidbits:  The rest of the shirt went to make some matching outfits for her cousins.

Christmas dresses

Pattern:  Leila and Ben Sweet Little Cap

Fabric:  Pinwale Cord
Ease:  Simple

Tidbits:  I have found this pattern really small for my kids, so I scaled up the pattern to a larger size.

Kidlet Rating: 5/5 a favourite in the heat and she loves the pink!
